NEW CHAMPION Aries Corroboree finishes her championship within one month ! Starting with her owner/handled win in our previous update, she went on to win a five point Specialty major, then three days this weekend WB/BOW & BOS thus finishing with three majors ! Congratulations to her excellent team. I am very proud that my two pick bitches from this litter finished with such class !

CH. GIPSY BLACK FROST

CH. GIPSY BLACK FROST, finishing with his 4th group placement from the classes. Today he went BOB over a SPECIAL from a TOP Australian kennel !

His group placements have been from Enrico Fillipini, David McIntyre, David Ojalvo and Edgar Bajona. ALL are hound people! Frost is a co-bred son of Ch. ARIES RAINCLOUDS !

Ch. Charmeine of Garden Lodge finished 2006 #8 all-breeds in Venezuela and has been invited to attend the Eukanuba Classic which will be held this year in Long Beach, California. CH. Aries Roussanne d'Avignon

Our boy Soliel went to some more shows this past weekend and won the Breed at all three, placing in the Group every day, thank you to judges Virginia Lyne, Greg Eva (from South Africa) & Bud Haverstock for his Group placements. Soleil faced many new competitors he hadn't met before which are normally shown on the British Columbia circuit. Congratulations to his mom, Fran and his handler Shaunna !

CH. Aries Northstar

New Champion Aries Northstar SC, follows his brother's footsteps and completes his title with a BEST OF BREED !
Frankie has seldom been overlooked during his show career, invariably placing in top competition and for this win he had to defeat a lovely dog who needs just one single point to finish and who has three Specialty majors ! Good work Nancy & Joe !

CH. Aries Jolie Blond

Congratulations to New Champion Aries Jolie Blond who was the first to finish this year with a four point major, quickly followed by her cousin Sylvio, then Starfire and now Frankie ! I'm very proud of them all and grateful to their owners and handlers for presenting them so beautifully. Well done Jarnell and Gary !

CH. Aries Roussanne d'Avignon

Our very handsome young Soleil has once again made us proud ! Best of Breed at the Manitoba Hound Specialty under Kent Delaney over a quality entry of older specials. He then went on to a Group 3 behind a top Saluki and a top Ibizan - the Saluki went on to BIS.

Soleil then went on and won BB again under Ann Hennigan and another Group 3. These shows were held in conjunction with the Saluki and Ibizan Nationals.

CH. Aries Starfire

We are celebrating yet again ! Aries Starfire completed his title at the San Antonio shows yesterday making him American Champion #3 this year. Congratulations to his owners Suzan Frazier and Mary Hodge. Star is from our dual-sire DNA litter. His brother Aries Northstar JC now only needs a three point major to finish - very close !

It is with great pleasure that I joyfully welcome a new addition to the Aries "stable"! Cyan Good Seeing known as GoSee. Her pedigree also has it's roots in Old Coastwind/Akaba and it is with enormous gratitude to her breeders Karen and Anthony Schieck that we welcome this little terradactyl creature into our midst. Ch. Soleil ( Aries Roussanne d'Avignon ) wins BEST OF BREED once again, defeating among other specials, the #2 Afghan Hound in Canada for the second time. Soleil will be two years old on the 22nd August. Congratulations to his co-owner Fran Mester.

Venezuelan Champion Charmeine of Garden Lodge won RBIS to add to her eleven Hound Group wins making her the #6 dog all breeds in that country. Char has been invited to the Eukanuba Classic in Florida. Congratulations to her owner Mr. Mauricio Grez ! She is not yet two years of age.

Her brother, Canadian Champion Aries Roussanne d'Avignon won a Best in Hound Group, adding to his many Group placings on the way to his title and since finishing at just a year of age, congratulations to his co-owner Fran Mester.

Congratulations to Alison and Connie on Sylvio who is now an American Champion ! Sylvio is a son of Marie's brother, Aries Water Dragon and his dam is Ch. Paris Nights du Mont Isis imported from France from Christian and Veronique Eloy. His look-alike litter sister is Korean Ch. Aries Mimosa Carousel who in her first litter produced two sons which are BIS and RBIS winners from the puppy class. Brother Aries Bluegrass Carousel also recently won Best of Breed and sister Wisteria is now pointed.

Aries Jolie Blond was awarded a major by Australian judge Mr. Wayne Burton which was a very lovely compliment since Mr. Burton is a well respected personality in Afghan Hounds over the years having owned and handled the famous Australian Champion Calahorra Ishmael throughout an illustrious career. Congratulations to Blondie's owners, Jarnell and Gary !
