Ch. Aries Angelica Carousel has babies ! The proud papa is Ch. Aries Lone Star and here we show you their first picture. There are three girls and five boys in some interesting colors. The clear red in this image is an apricot domino and underneath her, a brother with the pattern of a highly marked black & tan except he's red on tan. There are also reds, silvers and brindles.

FIRST TEX, NOW FLEX

I'm very pleased to congratulate his owners, Don Vasti and Sharon Ferraro on Flex's AKC championship. Flex finished his title with four majors and is shown here with Teri Tevin, his handler.Congratulations also to my co-breeder, Perry Rooks on his first homebred champion !

NEW CHAMPION ARIES LONE STAR

Tex finishes in his first few shows under Dr. John A. Reeve-Newson and Mrs Patricia Trotter with BB over special, owner-handled by his mommy, Jacquie ! He also made the cut in Hound Group- one of only seven pulled ! He's posting a little & the dark hair on his front leg doesn't help but he's a lovely puppy. SECOND MAJOR FOR FLEX

Congratulations to Don Vasti and Sharon Ferraro, the owners of Flex, on his second major following quickly on the heels of his first. Perry and I are naturally very happy human grandparents. Here are some new pictures, in this one, he's being stacked by Anna Stromberg outside the ring.

FLEX'S FIRST MAJOR

Congratulations to the owners of Flex on his first major at one year of age at the prestigious Westchester show. Here is his win picture with handler Terri Tevin - the judge is Dana Cline.

Here is a picture of Aries Lone Star's litter sister, Petra, coursing. What a great shot ! Petra and Tex are from a co-bred litter with Elise Toohey whose prefix is RafA. Elise lives in San Angelo, Texas.

GRANDCHILD

I'm very proud of Aries grandbaby, Naomi, a daughter of Ch. Aries Jolie Blond who, handled by her breeder, Jarnell Carter, finished immediately after her first season in grand style at the age of fifteen months. Congratulations, Jarnell and Gary !

FLEX WINS !

Introducing the litter brother of Ryder from my co-bred litter with Perry Rooks - Exlysta Reflects the Sky show here with his owner/handler Don Vasti. Flex has been shown twice for two wins so far. Specialty win at Long Island and WD again at Riverhead K.C. under Patricia Trotter. Way to go Don and Flex !

ARIES LONESTAR DEBUT

Tex made his first appearance in the show ring this weekend and was Best of Winners both days ! His owner and trainer is Jacquie Whyte and he was handled by Shaunna who also campaigned Group winning Ch. Soleil. Congratulations to a winning team ! Tex's mother (Blush) is also very close to her title, needing a small major to finish. His father is Aries Stars & Stripes also known as Sam.

Wistie Is Back !!!

After a brief absence from the Group rings, Ch. Aries Wisteria Carousel is showing better than ever & has placed three times in the last two weeks. Yesterday she went Group 2 handled by Alison. Congratulations Team Wistie !

Real Good Feeling of Meadow Valley is now more than half way to her title after winning her first major and going BOS each of the three days this past weekend ably handled by Mr. David Osuna. Blush resides in Texas with her new owners Elise and David Toohey so congratulations and also to her breeder, Ria Wagner in Germany.

Aries Lone Star has departed on an excellent adventure ! He will be residing with our friend Jacquie Whyte in Calgary, Alberta where he will be trained for his show career. He will be the resident consort of Ch. Aries Rio de Janeiro. So far the reports have been overwhelmingly positive which was only to be expected since Tex is quite a remarkable young dog with possibly the best personality I have ever known in an Afghan. His mom is currently being campaigned to her title as well.

Real Good Feeling of Meadow Valley

Real Good Feeling of Meadow Valley has begun her show career. We felt she needed to fill out before serious competition so she had a litter first and was a remarkable mom. Her pups by Aries Stars & Stripes inherited the best of both parents with each having contributed their fabulous temperaments. So far in very limited competiton, Blush has won some points and several reserves in the hands of David Osuna who has reported that he is thoroughly impressed with her fabulous showmanship. After she completes her title, Blush will be bred to SBIS Ch. Andros D'art of Performance.

Perry and I are very happy to add two new owners of our pups from this really special litter and now we just have the pick black male puppy available which is a good position to be in. The chinchilla blue Flex is with Don Vasti on Long Island, NY and the only girl we had for sale, Lucy, is with Emily Hipsh now, down in Alabama near the beach. All of the pups are showing exceptional movement at this age and their conformation is superb ! The blacks reminiscent of their ancestors Ch. Sushila's Love Is and Coastwind Celebration. Here is a picture of Sky's ( sire of our puppies) sister.

Sky & Sobe's puppies were born on the 30th of August. Seven boys and three girls. Congratulations to the new owners of three of the boys, Aries Monserrat with Marysue Altman, Sky Warrior in Delaware and Mavros in New Mexico. Perry and I co-bred the litter and we thank Kelly Ray for leasing their mom to us.

WISTIE IN TOP 10

The lovely "Wistie" is making us proud since taking off on her specials career. She has multiple Group wins and placements elevating her to the ranks of the Top Ten ! Congratulations to her excellent team of handlers !

Ch. Aries Coroborree is expecting babies at the end of October to BIS Ch. Boxadan Mind Your Own Business. Nancy and Joe Krysiak will be the human parents of this litter and everyone is very excited because Bindi has been declared definitely in whelp. Owen is shown in this picture after his spectacular Specialty win in Virginia Beach.

Champion Aries Wisteria Carousel placed in the TOP 20 Afghans in 2006 ! Congratulations to her team of owners and handlers on Wistie's accomplishment and continued success to all ! Wistie finished at #13.

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT !

On August 30, ten new babies were born to Absolut Tsunami by Ch. Sankhya Defys Grvity Exlysta consisting of three girls and seven boys in black and shades of blue. Their pedigree goes back all of the Old Coastwind dogs I have been striving to preserve for twenty-five years so it is a very exciting litter for Aries. My co-breeder and new friend is Perry Rooks who assisted Mom Sobe' with the delivery and she is doing an amazing job - we are very proud of her.

CH. ARIES WISTERIA CAROUSEL

Ch.Aries Wisteria Carousel, sister of Ch.Cevan Carousel Lemongrass, has been consistently placing in the Hound Group since completing her championship. Wistie has matured into a very lovely bitch, is showing with great enthusiasm and receiving lots of attention. She looks so much like her mom, Louise from the Du Mont Isis kennel of Christian & Veronique Eloy (France).

CH. ARIES ANGELICA CAROUSEL

Ch. Aries Angelica Carousel completed her AKC title making her the third Aries champion for 2007. Congratulations to her team and thanks to the judges ! Jelly is a litter sister to Ch. Aries Charmeine of Garden Lodge (#6 all-breeds in Venezuela in 2006) and Group winning Ch. Aries Roussanne d'Avignon ! She will be bred to Ch. Cevan Carousel Lemongrass when she comes in season. Jelly was handled to her title by her co-owner Alison Gray and pictured here with her friend Jerry.

NEW CHAMPION Aries Corroboree finishes her championship within one month ! Starting with her owner/handled win in our previous update, she went on to win a five point Specialty major, then three days this weekend WB/BOW & BOS thus finishing with three majors ! Congratulations to her excellent team. I am very proud that my two pick bitches from this litter finished with such class !

CH. GIPSY BLACK FROST

CH. GIPSY BLACK FROST, finishing with his 4th group placement from the classes. Today he went BOB over a SPECIAL from a TOP Australian kennel !

His group placements have been from Enrico Fillipini, David McIntyre, David Ojalvo and Edgar Bajona. ALL are hound people! Frost is a co-bred son of Ch. ARIES RAINCLOUDS !
